Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress who is best known for her role as Missandei in HBO's dramatic fantasies "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea, a seaside resort town located in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to performing from a very young age. She was noticed by her mother at her talent, and as young Nathalie was just three years old, her parents began enrolling her in the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel was quickly developing as a performer and in the end of her 90s, she was playing a young Nala as Nala in The West End performance of highly acclaimed show "The the Lion King." Emmanuel auditioned for roles in both television and films when she was in her teens. She was able to land her first big role, when she played Sasha Valentine in the British soap drama Hollyoaks (Channel 4 1995-). Emmanuel was Sasha Valentine's character for four years before leaving Hollyoaks by the year 2010. Emmanuel's breakthrough moment came three years later when she was cast in the role of Missandei who was the translator for Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel appeared in every season of "Game of Thrones" up to the series' conclusion.
